Welcome to the HOV Lane Blog, my playground as a photographer. My name is Josh Lane (aka, Joshua Pickett Granberry Lane - my full name).
Seven years ago, I set out on an artistic mission to photographically celebrate a part of American culture that I have appreciated over the years - the roadside church sign. Over 100,000 miles driven searching for church signs later, the Send Me A Sign Project is born… and, the road trip continues.
A few of my friends asked that I share some of my experiences from the road… And, so the The HOV Lane was born. The blog is a cacophony of photography, stories and feeble attempts at humor. The blog’s photography is a mix of my professional work and some less “professional” shots, which are usually included to help tell a joke or a story.
