A symbol of sustenance - traditionally, a windmill was the workhorse used to pump water from the ground. The resulting “watering hole” (pictured) delivered a daily provision of cherished water for life on the arid, windy plain.  It seems the windmill may be more aptly described as the “The Wheel of Life.”
