Prickly “Nair” Pear

Prickly “Nair” Pear

Happy Camping Apache Junction KOA Campground. Remove a cactus’ needles. Make a comfy seat.

That raises an interesting question. When you remove your cat’s claws, it is declawed. Does anyone know what to call it when you remove all the needles from a cactus?

The only thing I can come up… A Prickly “Nair” Pear? Seems to sum it up for a prickly pear, but what about any and all other cacti? How best to describe the resulting “needle-less” state of being?

I suppose it would be de-needled, but I say De-Lovely! That’s only if you have to get close…..esthetically, I like them with the needles.

Gail > While it may make them better for the eating, I agree with you. Some of the cactus magic is lost with no needles.

Sometimes people argue about using Cactus or Cacti. But once you’ve removed the needles it becomes a pointless argument.
