Bluffton, South Carolina. Palmetto Bluff. Within the village, there exists an old pet cemetery which dates back to the early 1900s. This is the grave Bess, a pointer and a good old dog who died in 1912. The water vessel in the distance is Palmetto Bluff’s beautiful boat, Grace, which was built in 1913. Bess almost got to take a ride on Grace. Instead, Bess now watches the fun from ashore…
