Back In The Saddle - 3

Lake Tahoe, California. With the dog teams pumped up, we took off!

Christie mushes the team onward. “Smokey, Gee. Gee, Smokey!”

“Gee” is the command to go right. Smokey was one of the lead dogs.

I am in the back. That’s my Dad in the front.

Thanks again to Christie, Anna and the rest of the Wilderness Adventures team for all the fun. This was a short ride we took about a week ago. I, for one, am now hooked! Can’t wait to take a longer back-country ride some day soon!

Ok, I am a dork as well as your sister, Josh. I thought you meant you and dad. Then looked at first couple of photos and thought, oh, duh, he is speaking for the dogs here in first person. There is no way he and dad were in on a dog sled run. And then I look down and there you are. COOL BEANS!!! Have seriously dated myself - hey, someone should : ) - WAY COOL - photos, experience and the dudes in my immediate family!!!! Thanks for sharing. Jess

Bill said you were passing through town~ Surely you weren’t mushing on I-20.

Timothy > :-D

Pearl > Thanks! It was a nice change of pace.

Jessica > Thanks. I’m glad you’re digging it. It’s great to have you along for the ride. Worth noting, “cool beans” is waaaay before your time (and, before mine).

Sandi > I WAS headed through you neck of the woods along I-20 and dropped Bill a note in the hopes we might be able to get together. Unfortunately, schedule dictated I roll through town in the dead-of-night. Am in Cajun Country now. I was sorry to miss you guys & your fried green tomatoes! Wendy > Yeah, my Dad is a hipster. I am very lucky! He is a cool cat.
