This sign is one of great character. It is fashioned out of old tires, pipes and fence poles.  Not only does it have a great deal of character, it is also a testament to innovation.
 

A quick aside from Montana. Today, I had the pleasure of driving into Montana from Northern Idaho on Highway 2. It is a spectacular drive and I highly recommend it.

I’m happy to report that it was this Standard Oil Products station that ran out of gas here, not me. The Element is still kicking. Today’s sky-high gas prices add to this scene’s sense of lost opportunity.

So, this is what Hwy 17’s roadside signs of alien life were trying to tell me. I’d like to “Come On In,” but I’m running behind schedule at the moment. Aliens, I offer you three words of my own instead, “Come Get Me.”
