Random Peacock

Flashback! January 2005 - Santa Fe, New Mexico. I stopped at a local store to buy some farm-fresh eggs and was stunned by the vibrant color of random peacocks. Back when I used to live in Palos Verdes, peacock birds were a common occurrence. Their unrivaled beauty is still always welcome.

Peacock & Peahen Trivia: A female is called a peahen? Peacocks and peahens are omnivorous. Like Mikey (and me), they’ll eat anything: plant parts, flower petals, insects. They have even been known to eat reptiles and amphibians!

The store was out of freshly laid farm eggs. Maybe next time.
